Sumatran Tiger Cubs At The Topeka Zoo Turn One Year Old - Blind Tiger Brewery Creates Special Sponsorship
On October 15, 2019 the newest four Sumatran Tiger Cubs at the Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center turn one year old. This is a remarkable achievement for the Topeka Zoo. Sumatran Tigers are very endangered with fewer than 400 alive in the wild in Sumatra, and fewer than 100 under human care in this country. The Topeka Zoo is very well respected across the country for caring for and successfully breeding Sumatran Tigers to conserve the species.
The Blind Tiger Brewery & Restaurant is the official sponsor of the Sumatran Tigers at the Topeka Zoo. For several years now a portion of every purchase of our delicious Tiger Bite IPA (glass, growler, keg) has gone to the Topeka Zoo to sponsor the tigers.
This weekend, Friday October 11th through Tuesday October 15th (their actual birthday), the Blind Tiger Brewery is celebrating the birthday of our four newest tiger cubs by increasing that sponsorship.
Starting this Friday and running for five days one dollar goes to the Sumartan Tigers with each purchase of the following Blind Tiger Brewery menu items.
Tiger Bite IPA
Tiger Paws Appetizer
Tiger Wings Appetizer
Tiger-Que Combo Platter
The money brought in goes straight to the zoo for the tigers.
Jay Ives, owner of the Blind Tiger Brewery, said, "We are so happy to be associated with the Topeka Zoo as the sponsor of the Sumatran Tigers. The zoo staff does such a great job caring for them. They are so endangered, and the Topeka Zoo does a wonderful job conserving them. It is great to have a huge achievement like this in our city and we are glad to be a small part of it."
