“This year’s Summit continues our traditional pro-business, pro-Kansas focus,” said Mike Kiley, CEO of Security Benefit. “We will lay out a framework that public and private entities can leverage to take important steps toward real, pro-growth initiatives in the Kansas economy. Attending the Summit will give business leaders the opportunity to have a direct impact on the future of our state.”

Business leaders have been spearheading efforts to grow the Kansas economy, but more work needs to be done.

“Kansas has a real opportunity to prepare for, and invest in, a positive future for the state,” Commissioner Vicki Schmidt said. “That future requires a vibrant private sector and this Summit is a great opportunity to engage key stakeholders from across Kansas.”

“Through strong and strategic partnerships, our state will continue to make strides in technology and innovation,” said David Toland, Secretary of the Kansas Department of Commerce. “We look forward to engaging with business leaders and economic development experts to help encourage and support entrepreneurship and improve the environment to live, work and do business in Kansas.”

These same efforts have been ongoing in the state’s capital city as well.

“GO Topeka is pleased to be a partner once again in bringing the fifth annual Financial Services Summit to our capital city.” said Matt Pivarnik, president & CEO of the Greater Topeka Partnership. “We work to cultivate a business climate that supports both new and existing companies in our financial services and insurance sectors, while supporting the workforce attraction, recruitment and retention needs of our business partners and we look forward to continuing that growth and support.”

The event includes a catered luncheon, four sessions on a variety of topics, and a networking reception, and is open for registration now. Visit www.gotopeka.com/FinancialSummit/ to learn more, or register here!
