Free State Base Ball Festival in Topeka Memorial Day weekendJoin the Topeka Westerns as the team hosts the Fourth Annual Free State Base Ball Festival May 25-26.

Experience the game as it began, when it was spelled base ball and played without gloves or fences. This tournament features: Topeka Westerns, Menomonie Blue Caps from Wisconsin, the Colorado All-Stars, the Hays Post Nine and the Branson Boomers.  All games will be played across from Ted Ensley Gardens at Lake Shawnee by 1860 rules. No admission is charged.

Saturday: 
10-6 p.m. base ball at Lake Shawnee

Sunday: 
10-3 p.m. base ball at Lake Shawnee
