Kansas Chamber 2019 Leadership Kansas Class to Visit Garden City Area May 29 - 31
While in Southwest Kansas, the class will visit Royal Farms Dairy, Reeve Cattle Co, Garden City High School, and Tyson. In addition, the group will meet with local dignitaries, various elected officials, and LK alumni from across the area. The Garden City session has been carefully planned and organized by Angelica Castillo Chappel (LK '17) and Jennifer Cunningham (LK '14).
During the course of the six-month program, the class will engage in discussions with top experts on the key issues facing Kansas. The Garden City area is the first of the six communities to host the 2019 Leadership Kansas class. Other locations include: the KC Metro area, Goodland/Colby, Pittsburg, the South Central area, and Manhattan/Topeka.
Leadership Kansas is one of the oldest and most prestigious statewide leadership programs in the country. Established by the Kansas Chamber in 1979, the program is celebrating its 41st year of educating and motivating Kansas leaders from all four corners of the state. The Leadership Kansas program remains committed to its original mission to inspire persons to maintain involvement in the social, business and political fabric of our Kansas communities.
