Intro to the Instant Pot

July 19th, Friday 6:00 pm

It is the biggest craze of the kitchen.  Whether you need a starting point, some new ideas, or just want to come join the fun and fellowship, in this class we will share some of our favorite tips and recipes.  We’ll enjoy some great food and demo a great quick recipe that is sure to please you and your family. 

 

Spices and Herbs 101

August 10th, Saturday, 3:00pm

Come experience the force that sailed a thousand ships and built empires.  This class is an introduction to spices and herbs. Learn what they are, the role they have played throughout history and how they are used today.  Learn how to select, store, and use your spices and herbs. You will smell, taste, and enjoy the flavors that are key to good cooking!

 

Pasta Sauces

August 16th, Friday, 6:00pm

If you attended either of the pasta making classes, you were able to enjoy some of the sauces we will showcase: Burre' blanc, carbonara, alfredo along with a delicious, quick puttanesca and, if time allows, Lisa will demo how quick and easy it is to make fresh homemade basil pesto! She will have fresh, homemade noodles to enjoy with the sauces, and maybe some lobster ravioli to sample with the burre' blanc!

 

BBQ Rub

September 11th, Wednesday, 6:00pm

Essential to world class BBQ is an excellent rub.  Of course, great spices and herbs make all the difference.  We’ll talk about the traditional fundamentals of rub making.  In this class, you will create your own signature spice rub.  And when you reach flavor excellence, your secret is safe with us.

Learn all about Extra Virgin olive oil and Balsamic Vinegars - how they look, smell, and taste. You’ll learn about where they’re grown and how they are produced, graded, and evaluated. We will explain how to store and use these delightful liquids in your healthy and delicious daily diet.
