B&B Theatres announces MX4D and Grand Screen at new Topeka Wheatfield 9 location!
The theater is already turning heads in the developing commercial district, and the community is abuzz with talk of the heated, electric, leather recliners and full-service bar the company has already announced.
B&B Theatres is thrilled to add to that excitement with the announcement of two exclusive theatrical concepts: MX4D and the Premium Large Format B&B THEATRES GRAND SCREEN!
MX4D is the latest and greatest technology in the 4D cinema experience, offering a totally immersive environment where guests can actually “feel” the action on the screen through built-in motion and effects in the seats and surrounding theater. Seats move in sync with onscreen action, and special EFX generators in the cinema bring the movie to life with wind and water effects, bubbles, strobes, jolts, pokes, and even scents! You don’t watch an MX4D film….you experience it!
The B&B Grand Screen is the company’s Premium Large Format venue, offering one of the largest screens in the nation. Featuring a massive wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling curved screen and DTS-X immersive digital surround sound, and a presentation that is second-to-none, Topeka-area moviegoers will be blown away by their breathtaking introduction to the Grand Screen!
For additional information on this project, all are invited to visit bbtheatres.com and follow B&B Theatres on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube (@bbtheatres, #bbtheatres). Be sure to subscribe and comment on posts for chances to win some great prizes!

During the company’s 95 years and four generations of family involvement, it has seen the coming of sound, color, Technicolor, stadium seating, multiplexes, and now digital cinema.
B&B Theatres is the 6th largest theatre chain in North America and operates 405 screens at 50 locations in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi, Iowa, and Florida.
