Stormont Vail Health Receives Donation from Envista Credit Union for Intensive Care Units

Stormont Vail Health received a $5,000 donation from Envista Credit Union to update the Intensive Care Unit Family Meeting Room. This room is used for families and the care teams to meet in a private space. This donation will be utilized for improvements to the room such as privacy curtains, installation of a monitor to review scans and diagnostics with families and replace the carpet.

“We appreciate this donation from Envista Credit Union,” said Amy Burns, president and executive director, Stormont Vail Foundation. “These funds will be used to help create a more comfortable and private space for families during a difficult time.”

“Several months ago, one of my sons suffered a traumatic brain injury. He spent seven weeks in the ICU at Stormont Vail,” said Ron Smeltzer, chief executive officer, Envista Credit Union. “Thanks to the amazing care and compassion provided by the nurses and other medical professionals that are a part of the ICU team, my son is making outstanding progress toward recovery. It is an honor and a privilege for Envista Credit Union, the Envista Foundation, and for me personally, to be able to provide this gift to the Stormont Vail ICU Department.”
