What have you learned since you were selected?
The power of the enthusiasm of youth. Having been honored to serve as the emcee for a few years, I got to meet most of the 20U40 Honorees, and am always AMAZED to hear of their accomplishments, drive, dedication and love for our community.
What do you know now that you wish you knew then?
That this enthusiasm is leverageable. That this group/team can use their collective power to build Topeka in their vision.
What advice would you give to aspiring young professionals?
Be mindful. Stay connected with your group. See your honoree group as a team. Get them together for a special Nancy Perry Day of Caring project, host a food drive as a team, etc.
