Voter Registration Deadline for the 2020 Primary Election is Tuesday, July 14th!

Shawnee County Election Commissioner Andrew Howell is reminding Shawnee County voters to ensure their voter registration is current and up-to-date before the voter registration deadline. The deadline to register to vote in the Primary Election is next Tuesday, July 14th. 

The provisional voting process is truly a safety net for voters and their votes. However, the very best way to not need this safety net is to ensure that your voter registration is accurate prior to the voter registration deadline (close of business on Tuesday, July 14, 2020) [KSA 25-2311]. Please consider checking your registration online at: https://myvoteinfo.voteks.org/voterview while there is still time to update it! 

Voter Registration application forms are available at the Shawnee County Election Office, 3420 SW Van Buren Street, Topeka or online at: http://www.snco.us/election/document/voterregistration.pdf, the Office of the Kansas Secretary of State, Memorial Hall, 1st Floor, 120 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka or online at: https://www.sos.ks.gov/forms//Elections/voterregistration.pdf, or at any of the following locations (hours may vary due to the COVID-19 pandemic): 

Completed applications may be submitted to the Shawnee County Election Office via the US Postal Service or personal hand delivery (3420 SW Van Buren Street, Topeka, KS 66611), fax (785-251-5999) or email (electionoffice@snco.us) before 11:59 pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. 

Early Voting in Person at the Shawnee County Election Office will start Monday, July 20th. The Election Office will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm for Early Voting in Person. 

The Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, August 4th.
