Tracy Khounsavanh Killough Selected to Lead Advisors Excel’s Corporate Volunteering and Giving
Khounsavanh Killough previously held the position of Learning and Development Specialist at the company.
As Director of Community Engagement, Khounsavanh Killough will represent Advisors Excel in the community and will be responsible for aligning staff volunteer opportunities with the four pillars of engagement: hunger, poverty, financial literacy, and education for kids. In 2019, Advisor Excel team members logged nearly 7,000 hours of community service.
“With the high number of quality outside applicants we received for this position, we are very pleased to find an internal candidate with a strong background and a true passion for helping individuals,” said Co-Founder Cody Foster. “Tracy understands our business, our culture, and how vitally important giving back to the community is to us,” he said.
Khounsavanh Killough will also manage the on-going Season of Sharing, the community partnership program that supports individuals and families in need in the Topeka community during the holidays. Last year’s event helped approximately 79 individuals and families with the focus to provide services or needs not being met in individuals’ day-to-day lives, seeking to fill the gap on the requests that other holiday giving organizations cannot fulfill.
“Although we ended up promoting an internal candidate, seeing the quality people in the community that are passionate about making Topeka a better place, has us excited about our city’s future,” Foster said.
From August 2008 to February 2017, Khounsavanh Killough worked for the Kansas Governor’s Grants Program as a Training and Project Coordinator. She is a 2018 graduate of Leadership Greater Topeka and serves on their Advisory Board.
