NOTO Escapes Grand Reopening in their new location in NOTO
NOTO Escapes, a local business that facilitates interactive adventure games, will be celebrating their Grand Reopening in their new location at 904 N Kansas Ave during the October First Friday Art Walk. NOTO Escapes’ new location now offers an ADA complaint and a new social activity for NOTO Arts District visitors.
Participants receive a narrative and adventure objective before being shut in a room for twenty minutes to one hour. Using elements and clues throughout the room, participants attempt to solve a series of puzzles and riddles, discovering keys and combinations to ultimately complete the adventure objective and escape the room. On re-opening night, NOTO Escapes has a ‘Teacher’s Pet’ themed 20-minute seasonal pop-up room and an hour-long ‘Squibb’s Lab’ room. A third, hour-long room ‘The Not-So Chocolatey Factory’ is under construction, expected to open soon.
Owners Kelly Gerhardt and Nena Hug, are motivated by being a part of the revitalization effort of NOTO and were thrilled to take over the previously empty building at 904 N Kansas. Months of remodeling and planning have finally ended and the owners are excited to invite everyone to visit their new space. The owners continue to coordinate with other NOTO business owners in collaborating on bringing additional activities to the arts district.
“An escape room is an unconventional night out,” said co-owner Kelly Gerhardt, “for everyone from families to couples. Participants get to escape everyday life and get the thrill of living in a mystery adventure for a short time.”
The cost for a twenty-minute seasonal Pop-Up room is $35 for your group of 2-6 participants. Hour-long rooms are priced at $25 per participant. Special event and Corporate event pricing are available, and those interested may contact NOTO Escapes or visit www.notoescapes.com directly for more information.
