Topeka Collegiate Announces Collegiate Cares 2021 Grant Recipients

The Topeka Collegiate Cares Committee, composed of both teachers and staff, selected six local organizations as recipients of the 2021 Collegiate Cares Grants. 

“While we are eager to put this pandemic behind us, we also know recovery takes time,” said Dr. Lyn Rantz, Head of School. “That’s why we’re grateful to once again partner with the Kokari Foundation to distribute these funds to organizations serving children and families. We’re doing what we can to help strengthen the community’s recovery.”

Topeka Collegiate received over $45,000 in funding requests for the $12,000 of funding available.

The following organizations were selected to receive a 2021 Collegiate Cares Grant:

Bee the Blessing, Inc.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Topeka

Kansas Children’s Discovery Center

Kansas Children’s Service League

SENT, Inc.

YWCA Northeast Kansas

This is the second funding opportunity available from Topeka Collegiate, thanks to the generosity of the Kokari Foundation. In Spring 2020, eight organizations were selected to receive funds totaling $14,000.
