Palliative Care Physician Babar Ahmed, M.D., FAAFP, joins Stormont Vail Health
Dr. Ahmed started his career in family and emergency medicine. Through his practice, he worked with a mentor who helped guide him toward the specialty of palliative medicine.
“I’m looking forward to helping and treating patients during their time of need,” said Babar Ahmed, M.D. “My patients will know that I am committed to their care. Our team will work to ensure that my patients are comfortable and as symptom and pain free as possible.”
Dr. Ahmed earned his medical degree in 2000 from the UNIBE School of Medicine, Dominican Republican. In 2006, he completed his family practice residency at Mayo Clinic and Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa.
