Kansas Chamber Board Elects New Leadership
The Kansas Chamber Board of Directors recently elected new leadership to guide the statewide advocacy organization for the next two years.
The Board chose Karma Mason, founder of iSi Environmental, to serve as its Chair and Coleen Jennison, Kansas Market Vice President for Cox, to serve as Co-Vice Chair/Treasurer. Trent Sebits, President of Pickrell Drilling, Inc., will continue in his role as Co-Vice Chair/PAC Chair for the Board.
"The Kansas Chamber is very fortunate to have very engaged and committed business leaders from across the state serve on its board. We greatly appreciate Karma, Coleen, and Trent's willingness to lead the board and their support of the Chamber and its mission," said Kansas Chamber President and CEO Alan Cobb.
Karma Mason and her husband Gary Mason founded iSi Environmental in 1990 and built it into a thriving company of more than 150 employees in four states. After serving two years as the Board's Co-Vice Chair/Treasurer, Mason said she looks forward to leading the Board and its efforts to make Kansas a top state to do business.
"Having been a member for more than two decades, I have seen firsthand the dedication of the Kansas Chamber to support businesses, large and small, by ensuring a healthy business climate for all companies, their employees and families, and the economy of Kansas. It’s an incredible honor to be chosen to lead the Kansas Chamber," said Mason.
Coleen Jennison has been with Cox for more than 20 years, serving in state and regional roles. In her current role, she leads the Cox team located in 100 Kansas franchise communities, including Wichita, Topeka, Manhattan, Garden City, and Pittsburg. Jennison said she is eager to support the Chamber and its advocacy efforts.
"Now more than ever it’s imperative that we champion issues critical to the Kansas business community. I’m honored to be a part of the team that will lead those initiatives," said Jennison.
Cobb also expressed his appreciation for outgoing Board Chairman Chuck Grier.
"Chuck provided pivotal guidance during probably two of the most challenging years for the state's business community. He ensured the Chamber was best prepared to protect businesses from overreaching government regulations," said Cobb.
The Kansas Chamber Board of Directors includes more than 50 business leaders from across the state, representing all industries and sizes of companies and organizations who support them.
