The Trust Company of Kansas (TCK) is pleased to announce the role changes and promotions for several employees, as well as the addition of seven professionally diverse individuals to its team.

PROMOTIONS & ROLE CHANGES

Teresa Akers – Vice President & Trust Officer

Teresa has been promoted to Vice President & Trust Officer. She will be responsible for the administration of a variety of account relationships – agencies, guardianships, revocable and irrevocable trusts, individual retirement accounts, and other types of fiduciary accounts in our Lawrence market. In this role, she will continue to work closely with Chief Executive Officer, Christopher English.

Matthew Broderick – Trust Officer

Matthew has been promoted to Trust Officer at The Trust Company of Kansas. Matthew joined The Trust Company of Kansas in January 2021. In this relatively short amount of time, he has embraced the trust industry and expanded his knowledge and expertise in the areas of financial planning, estate planning, and fiduciary investment management.

Nicole L. Easton, C.P.A., C.T.F.A. – Vice President & Trust Officer

After starting her financial career path as a C.P.A. and spending the last 4 years working diligently to continue her advancement in the fiduciary service industry, Nicole has been promoted to Vice President & Trust Officer. She prides herself on consistently providing exceptional client service and is looking forward to continuing this in her new role.

Christopher M. English, C.T.F.A. – Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

In addition to his role as Chief Executive Officer, Chris has taken on the role of Chairman of the Board at The Trust Company of Kansas. Since assuming a leadership role in November 2020, he has led TCK in successfully managing over $1 billion in assets under management.

Stephen A. English, C.T.F.A. – Chairman Emeritus

With over 50 years in the trust industry, Steve has been promoted to Chairman Emeritus at The Trust Company of Kansas. He is the Founder/Principal of The Trust Company of Kansas, which was officially chartered on May 21, 1990, and he has continued to guide TCK through tremendous growth ever since.

Brandi Foley – Trust Administrator

After 6 years on the Operations team at The Trust Company of Kansas, Brandi has transitioned into the role of Trust Administrator. She is excited to take on this new career opportunity, and will assist Vice President & Trust Officer, Nicole L. Easton with the day-to-day administration of her clients’ accounts.

Angela Malley, C.P.A. – Senior Vice President & Chief Investment Officer

Angela has been promoted to Senior Vice President & Chief Investment Officer. In this role, she will be responsible for developing and executing TCK’s investment strategy, including leading the company’s Investment Sub-Committee team with a focus on carefully managing assets for an optimum net annual return. Angela will also continue to serve on the company’s Trust Investment Committee.

Jennifer Moore – Vice President & Trust Officer

Jennifer has been promoted to Vice President & Trust Officer. She will be responsible for the administration of a variety of account relationships – agencies, guardianships, revocable and irrevocable trusts, individual retirement accounts, and other types of fiduciary accounts in our Lawrence market. In this role, she will continue to work closely with Senior Vice President & Trust Officer, Daniel Brogren.

Lee Anne Thompson – Vice President & Employee Benefit Officer

Lee Anne Thompson has been promoted to Vice President & Employee Benefit Officer. She assists TCK’s Administrators with the technical and administrative functions regarding ERISA plan administration for 401(k), Profit Sharing and Defined Contribution Defined Benefit Plans, and SIMPLE IRA Plans. Lee Anne’s knowledge and expertise allows her to best design effective retirement planning strategies on behalf of our clients.

NEW HIRES

Jennifer Boldt – Trust Operations Specialist

Jennifer joined The Trust Company of Kansas in January 2022 with an extensive background in banking. She will be taking on the role of Trust Operations Specialist where she will have a variety of responsibilities focused on the execution of our clients’ financial goals.

Chris Davis – Vice President & Trust Officer

Chris joined The Trust Company of Kansas as Vice President & Trust Officer in December 2021. He will focus on business development and new growth opportunities in our Lawrence market.

Andrew Ebert – Vice President - Technology

Andrew joined The Trust Company of Kansas in December 2021 with over 10 years in the technology industry. As Vice President - Technology he will manage our information systems and will lead the development of information security strategy in order to help protect against any anticipated threats or hazards to the security and/or integrity of TCK’s client information.

Terri Hecox – Vice President & Trust Officer

Terri joined The Trust Company of Kansas in October 2021 with over 22 years of experience in financial services. In this role, she fosters new and existing relationships with clients in our Leavenworth market. Her experience in the industry further enhances TCK’s resources and reinforces its commitment to grow its footprint and deliver the highest quality estate planning, investment management, and retirement planning services.

Mindy Mesler – Trust Administrator

Mindy joined The Trust Company of Kansas in January 2022 after a successful career as an administrative assistant in the field of education. With her excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, Mindy will assist Chris English, Teresa Akers, and Jennifer Moore with the administration of their books of trust business and business development efforts in our Lawrence market.

Jess Sojka – Trust Administrator

Jess joined The Trust Company of Kansas in January 2022 as a Trust Administrator, after retiring from a career with the Kansas Air National Guard. He will work closely with Vice President & Trust Officer, Terry Richards, on the day-to-day administration of her client relationships. Jess has embraced his new role with professionalism and enthusiasm to learn, in order to provide the highest quality of service to our clients.

Hayden Staerkel – Vice President & Trust Officer

With over 5 years in the trust industry as an investment officer, Hayden will take on the role of Vice President & Trust Officer at our newest location in Enid, Oklahoma. At TCK Wealth Management, A Division of The Trust Company of Kansas, Hayden will be responsible for a variety of fiduciary account relationships and business development in this new market.
