Clayton Wealth Partners Sponsors KSU’s Personal Financial Professionals Summit

Clayton Wealth Partners Sponsors KSU’s Personal Financial Professionals Summit

Clayton Wealth Partners, a Registered Investment Advisor in Topeka and Lawrence, Kansas, is proud to have sponsored Kansas State University’s Personal Financial Professionals (PFP) Summit last month.

KSU’s Department of Personal Financial Planning held the PFP Summit on April 28 and 29 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Manhattan, Kansas. The annual conference offered continuing education opportunities to professionals. It also gave financial planning students the ability to experience a professional forum and meet with industry professionals.

“With so many of our team members being alumni of KSU’s Personal Financial Planning program, it’s an honor to sponsor the summit,” said Barbara Duncan, CFP®. Duncan herself is a KSU graduate and a Partner and Senior Wealth Advisor at Clayton Wealth Advisors.

In addition to sponsoring the summit, CWP had three team members attending the event:

·         Eric Purcell, CFP®, Wealth Advisor

·         Zac Pohlenz, CFP®, Wealth Advisor

·         Colton Walker, CFP®, Wealth Advisor

The three were eligible for 12 hours of continuing education credits for attending sessions such as “Inflation, Interest Rates and Invasion,” “Advanced Life Insurance Planning,” and “Emerging Investment Trends and Their Implications for Advisors and Clients.”

Purcell, Pohlenz, and Walker agreed that a highlight was talking to students from the Department of Personal Financial Planning and Finance Department. The three shared their experiences as financial advisors at Clayton Wealth Partners, a fee-only, fiduciary RIA. They also answered questions from these future financial professionals.

Clayton Wealth Partners' summer intern Emma Gustin attended the summit as a student of Kansas State University's Department of Personal Financial Planning. Purcell, Pohlenz, and Walker were pleased to get to know her a little better prior to her summer internship.

“We appreciate our longstanding partnership and friendship with Clayton Wealth Partners,” said Martin Seay, CFP®, head of the Department of Personal Financial Planning. “With four Personal Financial Planning graduates working full-time and an intern incoming this summer, Clayton has a demonstrated investment in our program and our student’s long-term development and success.”
