Moonshine Productions | TVM Spotlight
Maria Hard's booth sparkles, and it is the perfect place to find a gift to lift someone's spirits with unique teas, gift sets, journaling materials, dandelion oil, sage, and more. Happy First Anniversary, MoonShine Productions!
How did you come up with the name “MoonShine Productions”?
I was born one minute after midnight, so I have always referred to myself as a moon child. I was sitting outside one night trying to come up with a business name. The moon was shining so brightly that night... and MoonShine Productions popped into my head.
What is the focus of your merchandise? What can we find in your booth that we can not find anywhere else?
My main focus is on a Metaphysical/Spiritual Décor. You can find Dream Catchers, Suncatchers, Sage, Apothecary Jars, and Dandelion Oil in my booth. Each Suncatcher is unique, and they are so pretty hanging in the windows.
My second focus is on my new Tea Shop. I love tea, and I love sampling new flavors. I don't like buying a whole box and throwing it away when I don't like it. So, I thought other people might like to buy smaller portions of tea to sample. I am trying to focus on unique teas that you may not find at Dillons or Walmart.
What is your most popular item?
My most popular item is the Dandelion Oil. When I first made it, I started with a dozen small bottles, just to see if there was any interest. I sold out in the first weekend. It's a great product, and I'm not just saying that because I make it.
What inspired you to start making Dandelion Oil?
I was sitting outside looking at my bright yellow yard, and I thought there must be something I can do with all these dandelions. I started researching all the benefits that dandelions provide. I have psoriasis and arthritis and I am always looking for lotions or creams to use to relieve my dry skin. I started picking dandelions and began the process. Dandelions have Anti-Aging qualities and have vitamins A,C,D and E proven to help stimulate circulation, reduce and prevent wrinkles and fine lines, promote collagen and elastin formation, and even out skin tone. They also have an anti-inflammatory agent. They have been used in medicinal and massage oils for centuries. Dandelions also possess the ability to eliminate heat and alleviate swelling from aches and pains.
My first batch sold out right away, so I quickly began harvesting more dandelions. Pick one, leave one, pick one leave one (for the bees). We do not use any type of pesticides or herbicides so I knew they would be safe and locally grown. I can honestly say after 20 plus years of suffering from severe psoriasis, that this oil, with the combination of a certain brand of salt scrub, has almost eliminated my skin condition. My product took off, and people love it.
