Stormont Vail Health Welcomes Amartha Gore, M.D., OB/GYN
Stormont Vail Health proudly welcomes Dr. Amartha Gore, a board-certified OB/GYN specializing in routine and high-risk pregnancies, as well as gynecological healthcare, to the Stormont Vail Women’s Services team. Dr. Gore provides women’s health services at Stormont Vail Rural Health Clinic Obstetrics & Gynecology - Flint Hills, 1102 St. Marys Rd., Junction City, 66441.
Dr. Gore was born in Columbia, South Carolina to first-generation immigrants from Nigeria. Growing up, she was well aware of the joys and challenges her parents underwent as they built their lives and, eventually, a successful medical practice from nothing – all to support their family and community. This experience ignited her call to advocacy, an integral part of her role as an OB/GYN.
“Being an OB/GYN is an honor and a privilege,” said Dr. Gore. “You can serve as an advocate for women from all walks of life and help them navigate all the changes and experiences that life brings while guiding them through some very difficult choices.”
In addition, Dr. Gore strives to positively affect each community she serves. As she cares for patients at the Flint Hills Campus, she is keen to improve maternal and infant mortality rates through education, empathy, and empowerment.
Dr. Gore is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She completed her medical degree and residency at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine in Charleston. She comes to the Flint Hills Campus from Allegheny Health Network West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
To Dr. Gore, the most rewarding aspect of medicine is touching patient’s lives by being present to guide them through difficult moments. She is eager to support and educate Junction City and its surrounding communities as a Stormont Vail Rural Health Clinic Obstetrics & Gynecology - Flint Hills practitioner.
