Clayton Wealth Partners Announces Impact Scholarship for Aspiring CFP® Professionals
Clayton Wealth Partners, one of the oldest fee-only financial planning and investment management firms in Kansas, is proud to announce the launch of the Clayton Wealth Partners Impact Scholarship. This scholarship is part of the firm’s yearlong activities marking its 40th anniversary, including a ribbon-cutting in May and culminating in a client celebration in October.
Founded in 1984, Clayton Wealth Partners is an independent Registered Investment Advisor with offices in Topeka and Lawrence, serving clients throughout Kansas. The firm offers comprehensive wealth management services dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals.
The Clayton Wealth Partners Impact Scholarship aims to advance the financial planning profession by providing financial assistance to aspiring CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professionals. The scholarship will reimburse one student for CFP® exam registration fees and study material costs, up to $4,000.
“The CFP® certification is one of the most highly regarded designations in the industry,” said Elizabeth Young, CFP®, a Partner and Senior Wealth Advisor. “Our founding partners—Randy and Debra Clayton—were early advocates of the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation. And we require all our wealth advisors to be CFP® certificants.”
Young added: “By supporting aspiring CFP® professionals, we hope to foster the next generation of financial planners who are educated, experienced, and uphold the highest ethical standards.”
Eligibility requirements for the scholarship include enrollment in a CFP Board Registered Program at a college or university in Kansas, or being a Kansas resident enrolled in an online CFP Board Registered Program. Applicants must have a B-or-better overall GPA, be at least in their junior year of college, and plan to take the CFP® exam in 2025.
The application deadline is October 3, 2024. The award recipient will be notified on October 7 and recognized during the firm’s 40th anniversary celebration on October 10.
