Multi-talented comedian, musician and actor Rodney Carrington is bringing soulful strums and lyrics you probably shouldn’t repeat to our Great Lakes Ballroom on August 7!

Tons of comedians pluck at a six string, but Rodney Carrington’s humor and sound are in a league of their own. Building an audience with The Bob and Tom Show and various comedy clubs, Carrington released his first LP Hangin’ with Rodney in 1998. Despite the crass, comedic lyrics, the record charted on the Top 100 Country albums, and he would find even more success with follow-up Morning Wood in 2000. In 2004, Carrington released his platinum record Greatest Hits and found screen time starring in the self-titled sitcom Rodney, which debuted two seasons on ABC; he’s since co-wrote and starred alongside Toby Keith in 2008’s Beer for My Horses and released a Netflix stand-up comedy special in 2017.
