CASA of Shawnee County Appoints Kerry L. Timmons as New Executive Director
CASA of Shawnee County is pleased to announce the appointment of Kerry L. Timmons as its New Executive Director, effective July 7, 2025.
Kerry brings over 16 years of nonprofit leadership experience, including her prior roles as Executive Director of Douglas County CAS, Inc. and Executive Director of TDC Learning Centers, Inc. Her Career has been marked by a strong commitment to child advocacy, strategic organizational leadership, and a deep dedication to the mission of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
“We are thrilled to welcome Kerry to CASA of Shawnee County,” said Margaret LaRue Board President. “Her passion for supporting vulnerable children and her proven leadership in the nonprofit sector make her an ideal choice to lead our organization into the future.”
In recent years, Kerry has also worked as an Independent Sales Consultant in the education sector, where she managed multi-state contracts and developed strong skills in relationship-building and strategic planning—experiences that complement her nonprofit expertise.
“I am honored to join CASA of Shawnee County and return to the meaningful work of advocating for children in the court system,” said Tummons. “I look forward to collaborating with the dedicated staff, volunteers, and community partners who make this mission possible.”
Kerry will begin her leadership role on July 7, 2025 succeeding Interim Executive Director Carrie Riordan.
