TARC Celebrates Another Successful Winter Wonderland, Fueled By Strong Community Support
TARC is pleased to share the success of its 28th Annual Winter Wonderland, the organization’s largest fundraising event of the year. Thanks to overwhelming community participation and generosity, the 2025 event raised more than $236,000 to support TARC’s mission.
Winter Wonderland ran from November 26 through December 31, with weather affecting only one evening throughout the season. During the event, 8,788 vehicles traveled through the drive-through light display, continuing the long-standing tradition enjoyed by families across the region.
More than 420 dedicated volunteers made this year’s event possible, contributing over 1,300 hours of service. Volunteers assisted with everything from rewrapping and maintaining displays to helping guests each evening, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience throughout the season.
TARC extends sincere appreciation to its sponsors, Shawnee County Parks and Recreation, and every volunteer who shared their time and talents. Their commitment and generosity are essential to the continued success of Winter Wonderland and the positive impact it has on the community.
Proceeds from Winter Wonderland directly support TARC’s ability to provide services, supports, and advocacy for more than 2,500 children, families, and adults in Topeka and Shawnee County who experience developmental, intellectual, and related disabilities and delays.
With another successful season complete, planning is already underway for the 29th Annual Winter Wonderland. TARC looks forward to welcoming the community back for another memorable year benefiting those we serve.
