Welcome Baby Jubilee Returns to Support Expectant Families
Stormont Vail Health invites expectant parents and their support people to attend Welcome Baby Jubilee, taking place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, in Pozez Education Center at Stormont Vail Hospital, 1500 S.W. 10th Ave., Topeka.
More than a traditional resource fair, Welcome Baby Jubilee brings together parents, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to help families feel informed, prepared, and supported before baby arrives.
“Parents want to know they’re in good hands,” said Ashley Baumchen, Director of Inpatient Maternal Child Services at Stormont Vail Health. “At Stormont Vail, families have access to a full continuum of care, including high-risk maternity and NICU services. Welcome Baby Jubilee gives parents a chance to meet our team, ask questions, and feel more prepared for the road ahead.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Stormont Vail’s Birthplace team, tour delivery and recovery spaces, learn more about vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) and other birth options, and participate in a new ‘Ask a Mom’ panel featuring experienced mothers and a Birthplace nurse moderator. Tdap vaccinations will also be available for attendees who bring their insurance cards. Local food trucks will also be available with sweet and savory options.
The event is free and open to expectant parents and their support people. No registration is required. Enter through Pozez Education Center at 1500 S.W. 10th Ave. Free parking is available in the garage across from the main entrance at S.W. 9th and Horne Streets.
