Kansas Chamber Appoints Amy Billquist as Interim Executive Director of Leadership Kansas
As Leadership Kansas prepares to welcome the Class of 2026, the Kansas Chamber has appointed Amy Billquist, Kansas Chamber's Vice President of Communications and Events, as Interim Executive Director of Leadership Kansas.
Amy has worked closely with the program for several years, managing operations, communications, and coordination with local program chairs and class members across the state. Her familiarity with the program’s structure, timelines, and statewide relationships ensures continuity as Leadership Kansas moves into its next chapter.
“With a new class about to begin and important planning already underway, steady leadership is essential,” said Eric Stafford, incoming President & CEO of the Kansas Chamber. “Amy understands this program inside and out. Her experience and institutional knowledge will provide continuity and confidence as we move forward.”
Leadership Kansas remains one of the state’s most respected leadership programs, grounded in a mission to identify, inform, and inspire leaders from across Kansas. That mission remains unchanged. Sessions for the Class of 2026 begin in April, and this interim appointment provides clear direction while the Chamber conducts a thoughtful and intentional search for the program’s next permanent leader.
