Stormont Vail Health Reminds Patients About Virtual Care Services

As flu and respiratory illness circulate in the community, Stormont Vail Health reminds patients about Virtual Care Day and Night, a convenient alternative to in-person visits that allows eligible patients to receive care from their phone, tablet, or desktop.

Virtual Care Day and Night offers Stormont Vail primary care patients with MyChart accounts to connect with a provider through a secure video visit without an appointment. The service is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. This is ideal for minor, treatable illnesses, such as coughs, colds, sinus issues, or the flu.

Virtual Care Day and Night gives patients added flexibility, making it easier to choose the care option that best fits their needs at the moment.

“When people feel sick, having the ability to get medical care from home is often a great option,” said Sam Pourmirza, Telemedicine Manager at Stormont Vail. “Virtual Care Day and Night gives patients a safe, convenient way to get the care they need while also helping limit the spread of illness in our community.”

Anyone experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath, or sudden confusion should call 911 or seek immediate care from the Emergency Department.
