Project 2 Restore to Host Free Citywide Awareness Event on Human Trafficking
Project 2 Restore will host a community-wide awareness event, Hiding in Plain Sight, on April 30 aimed at helping individuals recognize the realities of human trafficking within the local community and respond with awareness, wisdom, and care.
This free event will bring together a panel of local experts from law enforcement, victim advocacy, education, and related fields to provide insight into how trafficking presents in everyday environments. Panelists will discuss common misconceptions, early warning signs that are often overlooked, and practical steps individuals and families can take to better protect those who are most vulnerable.
“Hiding in Plain Sight is about equipping our community with the knowledge to recognize what is often missed,” said Gerralee Damman, Executive Director of Project 2 Restore. “When people understand what trafficking can actually look like in their own neighborhoods, they are better prepared to respond with both awareness and compassion.”
The event will take place from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Fellowship Bible Church, located at 6800 SW 10th Ave (Entrance F). It is designed for parents, grandparents, educators, church and ministry leaders, and any community member who wants to better understand and help prevent human trafficking.
