JEDO Approves Magellan Financial Expansion Supporting 175 New Jobs with $1.37 Billion in Projected Economic Impact
The Joint Economic Development Organization (JEDO) of Topeka and Shawnee County has approved an incentive agreement supporting Project Omega, a major expansion by Magellan Financial that is expected to create 175 new jobs in Topeka. The positions will offer salaries ranging from $50,000 to $250,000 , further strengthening the region’s financial and professional services workforce.
With JEDO approval, Project Omega is projected to generate an estimated $1.37 billion in economic impact over the next 10 years, delivering a 39% return on investment for the community. The incentives are designed to support Magellan Financial’s long-term investment and job creation while also strengthening the economy in Topeka and Shawnee County.
Operating under the code name Project Omega during the review process, Magellan Financial’s expansion represents a significant commitment to Topeka and reinforces the city’s growing reputation as a competitive environment for high-value financial services operations.
