Leadership Greater Topeka Opens Nominations For The Class Of 2027 On August 1

The Greater Topeka Partnership is now accepting nominations for the Leadership Greater Topeka (LGT) Class of 2027, beginning Saturday, August 1, 2026.

For more than four decades, Leadership Greater Topeka has helped develop informed, connected, and engaged leaders who are committed to making a lasting impact in Topeka and Shawnee County. Community members are encouraged to nominate individuals who demonstrate leadership potential, a passion for serving others, and a desire to help shape the future of the community. Individuals are also welcome to nominate themselves.

"Leadership Greater Topeka equips participants with the insight, relationships, and confidence to lead through today's complex challenges using Harvard-based adaptive leadership principles," said Michelle Cuevas-Stubblefield, IOM, CCE, Senior Vice President of Strategy for the Greater Topeka Partnership. "As we prepare to welcome our 43rd class, we're excited to see the leaders our community nominates. When people invest in their own leadership development, they strengthen not only themselves, but the future of Topeka and Shawnee County."

The Leadership Greater Topeka program runs from January through April and includes a two-day retreat along with nine full-day sessions. Participants explore the opportunities, challenges, and issues shaping Topeka and Shawnee County while developing both adaptive and technical leadership skills. Throughout the program, participants engage in thoughtful discussions, build meaningful relationships, and gain a deeper understanding of how to create positive change within their organizations and throughout the community.

Now entering its 43rd year, Leadership Greater Topeka has graduated thousands of leaders who continue to serve throughout the community in business, education, government, nonprofit organizations, and civic leadership. Graduates leave the program with expanded networks, new perspectives, and the tools to lead with purpose while making a lasting difference in Topeka and Shawnee County.

Individuals entering their junior year of high school or older who live or work in Topeka and Shawnee County are eligible to be nominated. The nomination period closes Friday, September 11, 2026.
