Omni Circle Group To Give Away Final Laptops And Tablets July 25 As Dock-Funded Digital Literacy Program Concludes
After nine months of targeted digital workshops and device distribution, Omni Circle Group will hold its final device giveaway on Saturday, July 25, marking the successful closeout of the organization’s Digital Opportunities to Connect Kansans (DOCK) program. The statewide DOCK initiative, funded by the Kansas Department of Commerce, sunsets July 31.
Omni has 16 laptops and six tablets remaining to give away under its DOCK program. Devices will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to residents who complete the online signup form in advance and attend the July 25 session, running 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The signup process is designed to manage demand for a limited number of devices. Topeka residents interested in receiving one of the final devices may sign up at bit.ly/OmniDOCK.
“When we launched this program, our goal was simple — to make sure a lack of technology never stood between a Topeka resident and their next job, telehealth appointment or educational opportunity,” said Michael Odupitan, founder and CEO of Omni Circle. “Giving away these final laptops and tablets is a sign that we’ve successfully increased technology access in our community, improved digital literacy locally, and empowered Topeka residents to fully participate in today’s digital economy. Thank you to everyone who helped make that possible.”
The final DOCK device distribution day will be held at Omni Circle Group, 1301 S.W. Topeka Blvd. Devices will be distributed in the order that signups are received, until supplies are exhausted. Those interested in signing up for a device may also contact Omni Circle staff directly at info@omnicircle.org, or by calling 785-422-7459.
Since launching in October 2025, Omni's DOCK-funded Community Tech Hub has provided free, bilingual digital literacy training and device access to Topeka residents, with a focus on connecting the city’s Central Park Neighborhood and helping residents across the community build resumes, access online education, and connect to telehealth services.
