Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka Brings Community Together for "Heroes on the Diamond"
Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka (BGCT) is inviting the community to step up to the plate for local youth during “Batting for Bright Futures - Heroes on the Diamond”, a one-of-a-kind family event celebrating the first responders and public servants who help make Topeka a safer place to live.
The event will take place Saturday, August 29, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Felker Park, 2540 SW Gage Blvd., bringing together multiple public safety agencies for an afternoon of fun, community connection, and giving back. Families will have the chance to meet local heroes, enjoy food trucks, live music, kid-friendly activities, and learn more about the men and women who serve our community every day. All donations from the event will directly benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka and its mission to inspire and enable young people to reach their full potential.

While the event promises a full lineup of family entertainment, its greater purpose is to strengthen community relationships while raising critical support for local youth programs. Every dollar donated helps provide safe spaces, caring mentors, academic support, healthy meals, and enriching experiences for thousands of children served by Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka each year.
