Stormont Vail Health Taking Cancer Prevention to the Parking Lot
Stormont Vail Health invites the community to spend a Saturday morning learning, playing, and exploring ways to reduce cancer risk at its first-ever Cancer Prevention Block Party from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026 at the Stormont Vail Health Cancer Center parking lot, 1414 S.W. 8th Ave., Topeka 66606.
The free event will feature healthy snacks, music, games, giveaways, and hands-on exhibits hosted by Cancer Center teams. As part of a friendly competition, teams will transform their booths into engaging experiences focused on topics including nutrition, physical activity, and cancer prevention.
“Knowing when to get screened and your risk factors does make a difference,” said Robin McKay, Advanced Practice Provider Manager at the Stormont Vail Health Cancer Center. “We’re creating a chance for people to ask questions, learn something new, and leave with practical information they can use for themselves and their families.”
Community members are invited to bring family and friends and discover why prevention remains one of the most effective tools in the fight against cancer.
