Azura Credit Union Arrives

image003Azura Credit Union arrived in Topeka, Lenexa, and Fort Riley.  Azura Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution. Doors officially opened for business and to serve members of the community as Azura Credit Union on Monday May 2, 2016.  Azura Credit Union serves the members of Quest Credit Union and Educational Credit Union after the successful merger of equals was official this past weekend. Greg Winkler is the President/CEO of Azura Credit Union which is the fourth-largest credit union in Kansas. Assets are over $480 million and Azura Credit Union will serve over 47,000 members.  The credit union has six full service locations in Topeka, plus two service centers. Branches are also located in Lenexa and Fort Riley.

The new credit union’s name pays tribute to the history of both credit unions serving those in Kansas for a combined 140 years.  The name originated from the beautiful azure blue skies of Kansas. The addition of the word Terra, meaning land, to the word Azure, meaning clear blue skies, created the name Azura.  Azura is the place on earth where the possibilities found in a clear blue sky can become a reality.

Azura Credit Union’s promise to their member/owners and the community is to go “Above and Beyond Banking”.  The credit union will deliver outstanding innovative financial service, education and value through personal and community engagement. Enhancements are being made to how financial services are delivered from online, in person, mobile apps, and remote deposit.  Personal and community engagement is encouraged throughout the organization by Azura’s community giving and employee volunteer leave program.

“Ultimately our goal is to serve our members and to help improve more lives in our community. Whether that is from financial services or supporting community initiatives it is something we are passionate about as an organization.” said Greg Winkler President/CEO of Azura Credit Union.
