Topeka Performing Arts Center will host its annual Gingerbread Homes for the Holidays, a Topeka holiday tradition and fundraiser for the Topeka Performing Art Center’s youth education programs, November 14th through 16th.
Capitol Federal® Graham Cracker Junction, the Holiday Boutique and Sweet Tooth Lane are the main attractions of this grass roots fundraiser. Capitol Federal® Graham Cracker Junction is where children of all ages can build their own gingerbread house out of graham crackers, icing, and candy. Additional activities include local entertainment, the holiday boutique showcasing local craft items, homemade baked goods in the Sweet Tooth Lane, and a special appearance by Santa!
Professional and aspiring bakers generously donate Gingerbread creations for auction and display throughout the weekend.
Gingerbread Homes for the Holidays is sponsored in part by Capitol Federal®, Federal Home Loan Bank, and Topeka Performing Arts Center Volunteers. Proceeds benefit the Topeka Performing Arts Center’s Youth education programs; including Sheffel Theater Clinic, a day long theater experience for third graders in Shawnee County, Young Artist of the Year Awards, and Schooltime Theater.
Tickets are available at the door for $3/per person and $2/per person for groups of 6 or more. Event times are Friday, November 14th – 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, November 15th – 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Sunday, November 16th – 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
