Kathleen Williams Heit, is a “boomerang” Topekan. Born and raised in Topeka, she went to the University of Denver where she majored in Business Statistics. From there she worked in Denver at Lucent Technologies before taking a promotion which landed her in New Jersey. Spending 3 years with Lucent Technologies and AVAYA she decided to take a dive and follow her dreams. Kathleen took a retirement package from AVAYA at age 26 and moved to Kauai, HI.  In 2007 she came back to Topeka to side by side with her father Al Williams Jr. at Oppenheimer. While learning about the financial industry she discovered her calling, financial planning. Setting high goals and wanting to provide the best services to clients, Kathleen embarked on the academic challenge of becoming a Certified Financial Planner®. In 2011 she began working for Clayton Financial Services where she develops comprehensive financial plans for clients and their families. Planning topics include and are not limited to retirement planning and goal setting, cash flow analysis, Social Security analysis, education, asset protection and wealth transfer.

Kathleen loves being involved in the community and was a member or the Leadership Class of Greater Topeka, 2011 Top 20 Young Professionals under 40, and a past member of the YWCA Board of Directors.  Current community involvement includes Board of Directors for ARTSConnect, Board of Directors for Downtown Rotary Club of Topeka and Board of Trustees for the Topeka Civic Theatre.  Kathleen’s most important roles are wife to husband David Heit, principal at Tevis Architects and being a mother to a super fun 2 year old daughter and two incredible step-sons.
