Local businesses support CASA's Homes for the Holidays tour

Four local families have graciously opened up their homes for the tour to help raise money for CASA of Shawnee County. The designers include David Porterfield with Porterfield’s Flowers and Gifts, Dan Brungardt with Home At Last, Jenny Torrence and Chris Page with Pinkadilly and new this year, Jesse Borjorn with Red Door Home Store and Misty Brown with Skinner Garden Store. Homes for the Holidays began nearly 30 years ago as a way to bring the community together to celebrate the holiday season while raising money to help local children in need. This year’s tour kicks off Friday, November 20, with the Patron Party at the Topeka Country Club. A $65 Patron Party ticket gives participants a sneak peek at the homes followed by the party at the Country Club. Topekan Ethan Sun, an 11-year-old classically trained pianist, will provide entertainment for a portion of the evening. Patron Party tickets may also be used for touring the homes on Saturday and Sunday.

Tour tickets are $10 in advance; $12 at the door and may be purchased at Topeka Hy-Vee, Topeka Walgreen Drug Stores, Porterfield’s Flowers & Gifts, Red Door Home Store, Glory Days Pizza, Skinner Garden Store and Prairie Glass Studio; online at CASAofShawneeCounty.com or by calling the CASA of Shawnee County office (785) 215-8282. Patron Party tickets are $65 and may be purchased at CASAofShawneeCounty.com or by calling CASA’s office.
