Stormont Vail Health has announced that Dr. Hughes has joined their medical team and is practicing as a maternal fetal medicine physician. Her practice is located in the Stormont Vail Hospital at 1500 S.W. 10th Ave. in Topeka.
Dr. Hughes received her medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1998. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 2002 at St. Elizabeth Health Center - an affiliate of Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine, Youngstown, Ohio. She completed a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine in 2005 at Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.
She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal fetal medicine and she is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists as a fellow, and also a member of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Hughes enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as watching movies and reading.
