Mize Houser & Company P.A., a 60 year-old regional certified public accounting firm continues to climb the rankings of the INSIDE Public Accounting’s Top 200 Firms of 2016 as the 131th largest accounting firm, an increase of 30 total spots since the firm’s IPA debut in 2011. Mize Houser first debuted on the list at #157 in 2011, which was only the second year the list was published. The firm rose to #139 in 2014 and #127 in 2015. The firm is one of two Kansas-headquartered firms to be included in this year’s Top 200 firms.
IPA 200 firms are ranked by revenues, with a base threshold of $15 million. Rankings are compiled by analyzing more than 500 responses to IPA’s Survey and Analysis of Firms.
Organic growth, which excludes the effects of mergers, is strong at 7.5% among the firms surveyed. Add in mergers and acquisitions, and 49 firms in the top 200 experienced double-digit growth in revenue this past fiscal reporting year.
