SHELBIE KONKEL
Hometown: Haysville, KS

Favorite Restaurant:
“I am not sure I could narrow it down to just one. I loved the atmosphere and dining experience at Row House, but also loved the cheeseburger and creme brulee I had at Blue Moose!”

Biggest Surprise:
“I think what I was most surprised by was Glory Day's service. I ordered a regular cheese pizza, and when they brought it to my table they apologized and told me they had another one in the oven because the cheese on the original had bubbled a bit too much. I wouldn't have even noticed, in fact I didn't! I happily ate the very delicious first pizza and then took the second one home to enjoy the next day.”

Favorite Restaurant:
“My favorite restaurant is definitely AJ’s Pizzeria. They have a variety of pizza combinations and pasta. Their Manhattan Margherita pizza is my personal favorite! Everything is always fresh and so tasty. I also enjoy the atmosphere of AJ’s. It’s a comfortable place for a slice of pizza and a beer.”

Biggest Surprise:
“I’m surprised by how many really good local restaurants there are in general. Especially all the hole-in-the-wall places. It’s a great change compared to the bigger restaurants and chains in the area.”
