Topeka Business Woman Named ABWA National President

NG PicThe American Business Women’s Association elected Nancy Griffin of Topeka, KS to the position of National President, during the association’s 65th National Women’s Leadership Conference in Overland Park, KS. Griffin, as National President, will maintain a position on the association’s National Board of Directors and the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund Board of Trustees. As the top officer of three national officers and six district officers, Griffin will work with members in all fifty states to facilitate the ABWA mission. 

 

Griffin currently works in Topeka at TARC, Inc. as the Self-determination Payroll/Billing Coordinator. Nancy is a member of the local Topeka ABWA chapters, Ad Astra and Topeka Women’s Network. Throughout her 33 year ABWA career she has grown with the ABWA experience earning numerous local chapter and regional offices and awards. She recently served as National Vice President (2014) and District III Vice President, (2013, representing ABWA chapters in nine Midwestern states). “I am honored and humbled to be elected to the National President office of this outstanding organization”, said Griffin; “I am excited to have the opportunity to share and empower other members with the ABWA experience that I have enjoyed”. 

 

Griffin holds degrees from the University of Kansas, Bachelor of Science - Business Administration and an EMBA from Benedictine College. She also holds certificates from Park University-Women as 21st Century Leaders, ABWA-KU MBA Essentials, and Dale Carnegie Leadership Training.
