Leadership Kansas Names 2019 Alumnus of the Year
Topeka, KAN. - Leadership Kansas recently named Brigadier General Deborah Rose as the recipient of its 2019 Leadership Kansas Jim Edwards Alumnus of the Year Award.
General Rose participated in the Leadership Kansas program in 2002, and since that time has shown tremendous professional and community leadership.
“As the highest-ranking female in the history of the Kansas National Guard, Gen. Rose has proven her importance and value to the state of Kansas,” stated John Federico, Executive Director of Leadership Kansas.
Rose received the award during the graduation banquet of the 2019 LK class in Topeka on October 25th. Previous recipients of this prestigious award include David Dillion, former Kroger Foods CEO; Bill Graves, former Kansas Governor; Dave Murfin, President, Murfin Drilling Company, Inc.; and Barbara Ballard, Senior Associate Director, Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics and Kansas State Representative.
Leadership Kansas is an affiliate program of the Kansas Chamber, and is recognized as the second oldest, statewide leadership program in the country and boasts more than 1,500 distinguished alumni from across the state.
