YWCA Northeast Kansas and Envista Announce the Donation Results of the November Envista Cares Challenge
Envista Credit Union, through the Envista Cares Challenge, provided YWCA Northeast Kansas with a one-month media package valued at more than $10,000 and a $2,500 challenge grant during the month of November. YWCA Northeast Kansas is pleased to report that the community has given $15,662.71, helping them reach the Envista Cares Challenge, as well as an additional $4,500 in challenge grants from two YWCA Northeast Kansas Board Members. In total, YWCA Northeast Kansas received $18,162.71 in contributions during November through the challenges.
“We are so grateful for the Envista Cares Challenge, because our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women is bold, but our future is bright when our community comes together. Every day, we turn on our lights and open our doors to answer the cry for justice. Here, a woman discovers her own power to leave an abusive relationship. Here, students of color learn to navigate the systems designed to hold them back. Here, a young woman cracks the glass ceiling to achieve the promotion she earned,” said Kathleen Marker, CEO of YWCA Northeast Kansas. “Thank you, Envista Credit Union, for getting up and doing the work of eliminating racism and empowering women with us. Together, we can make sure that the world sees women, girls, and people of color the way we do: Equal. Powerful. Unstoppable.”
“It was incredible to watch the community and the YWCA step up to the challenge and exceed our imagination of what was possible,” said Tara Dimick, Chief Business Development Officer of Envista. “The YWCA Northeast Kansas is an incredible example of an organization that leads, inspires and makes an everlasting impact on our community. We are honored to support them, and encourage our community to give to help eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.”
