Governor's Veto Example of Empty Promises — TK Business Magazine

Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Governor's Veto Example of Empty Promises
The Kansas Chamber President and CEO Alan Cobb released the following statement regarding Gov. Laura Kelly's veto of House Bill 2033:

Governor's Veto Example of Empty Promises

"It's extremely disappointing to learn Governor Kelly vetoed a reasonable effort to show middle ground on addressing the tax increase Kansas businesses and individuals are experiencing. She campaigned as a governor willing to reach across the isle but has nothing but empty promises and record spending to show for it. Instead of building bridges, she's flown in like Daenerys into King's Landing and torched any hope of common ground.

The Kansas business community had hoped Governor Kelly would be a bridge builder and support fiscal policies that encourage business investments. Instead, with her veto, she demonstrates her strong belief that big government and high taxes will solve the state's problems."
