New Faces Join the Leadership Team at YWCA Northeast Kansas

TOPEKA - The greater Topeka community’s oldest and largest women’s organization is starting the new school year strong by welcoming two new hires and promoting two staff to their leadership team.

“At YWCA Northeast Kansas, our work is rooted in our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women, and so it is my distinct pleasure to have these four passionate and dynamic staff members lead the way with their expertise and dedication to our crucial mission”, CEO Kathleen Marker said.

Stacie Torrez, Youth Services Program Director

Stacie Torrez joins YWCA Northeast Kansas to lead all youth services programs after successfully increasing partnerships and pounds of food distributed to food insecure families in Shawnee County in her previous role as Agency Service Representative at Harvesters. Stacie's wide range of professional accomplishments have instilled in her a strong sense of community engagement, program efficiency, and inclusion. Stacie is dedicated to motivating her Youth Services team and developing strong relationships with all YWCA partners and stakeholders, but what excites her the most about her role is “developing our community’s future leaders.”
