Envista Cares Challenge Highlights the Jayhawk Theatre
Envista Credit Union is pleased to announce that it will highlight the Jayhawk Theatre through the Envista Cares Challenge during the month of February. All month, Envista will provide the Jayhawk Theatre with a media package that is valued at $10,000. In addition, Envista is challenging the community to give to the Jayhawk Theatre. For every dollar given to the organization during the month of February, Envista will match up to $2,500. Giving can be done online at www.envistacares.com.
During the news conference today the Jayhawk Theatre representatives announced that in addition to the $2,500 challenge gift provided by Envista, they have received two more challenge gifts to make the total challenge that they will be seeking to match at $7,500.

“The Jayhawk Theatre project is taking flight. As part of downtown Topeka’s dynamic core, a restored Jayhawk will add vibrancy to our emerging art and entertainment community. We are creating a professional arts venue where we can celebrate Topeka; bringing film, live music, comedy, dance and more,” said Jeff Carson, Board President of the Jayhawk Theatre. “The Jayhawk Theatre will be an economic engine for Topeka, generating over $1.5 million in annual economic impact. We will improve quality of life here in Topeka, and will help Topeka be a more competitive work environment for recruitment and retention of the area workforce. We will also become a leading tourist destination for Topeka, with many patrons spending out of town dollars on food, shopping and hotels. The goal is to create awareness, excitement and energy about the project.”
