“I knew from an early age the importance of being kind, generous, and supportive. When I became a part of the Topeka community in 2011, I knew I wanted to do more to get involved.”
Who would play you in a movie about your life?
Bradley Cooper
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
Spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?
From an early age my family taught me the importance of faith and hard work. As I continue to grow professionally at BNSF Railway, my approach is evolving. While hard work is still important, the feedback I have received has challenged me to accomplish work differently. Leading more and managing less through situational leadership has helped me empower others to succeed.
What trait do you most attribute your success to?
I have always been very frugal or thrifty. If I were to get money for my birthday as a young kid, I would save every penny for a car or a house purchase in the very distant future. This trait has enabled me to not only provide for my family, but has also helped me become successful in the workplace by cutting costs and/or increasing revenue. Lastly, this trait has enabled me to give back time and resources to the church and community.
