Clayton Wealth Partners’ Eric Purcell Promoted to Wealth Advisor
TOPEKA, Kansas—Clayton Wealth Partners announced today that Eric Purcell has been promoted from Associate Wealth Advisor to Wealth Advisor.
“We couldn’t be more excited—and proud—to see Eric become a Wealth Advisor,” said Founding Partner Randy Clayton, CFP®. “Eric is more than ready to take on the responsibilities of Wealth Advisor. He has done an outstanding job developing the expertise and empathy to help our clients achieve their goals.”
As a full-time fiduciary, Clayton Wealth Partners requires its Wealth Advisors to hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Purcell earned his CFP® credential in late 2019—the culmination of three years of intensive study, on top of his full-time responsibilities at the Topeka advisory firm.
For Purcell, who joined Clayton Wealth Partners in 2016, the promotion was a personal and professional milestone.
“Both of my parents were CFP® professionals and financial planners,” he said. “I’ve wanted to follow in their footsteps since I was a kid. It took a lot of commitment to get here, but I also had the help of a lot of people, including my wife, my family, and my colleagues here. I’m really proud and humbled right now.”
As a Wealth Advisor, Purcell provides financial planning encompassing all areas of clients’ lives, including retirement, taxes, cash flow, and investments. Each financial plan Purcell builds is personalized to the client’s needs and goals.
Purcell also meets regularly with clients to help ensure that their plans remain in sync with the changes in their lives. He provides periodic updates to recommendations and strategies as well.
In addition to his CFP® certification, Purcell has a bachelor’s degree in finance and a Master of Business Administration, both from Washburn University. He is active in the community, serving as board treasurer for the Topeka/Shawnee County Riverfront Authority and as co-chair for Heartland Visioning’s Activate the River Committee.
