What is the most important characteristic that every leader should possess? Why? 

I believe it is important for every leader to possess the desire to build people up. As a class, we have spent a lot of time talking about performance correlation between focusing on a person's strengths over weaknesses. I have always wanted the people around me to be their best and think that successful leaders build on the strengths around them.  

 What motivates or inspires you? 

Building a community that my kids will want to live in when they are grown. 

Best advice you have received? 

The best advice I have received is to think about how you make people feel. Getting business done is only half the job, I want people to feel respected and supported after working with my team. We try hard to focus on a lasting impression, not just the first impression.
