EatStreet Announces Free Delivery for Kansas Restaurants
TOPEKA – Beginning today, EatStreet is waiving all delivery fees in Kansas to make it easier for customers to support restaurants and get their favorite foods during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With stay-at-home orders active in many Kansas counties, EatStreet will offer free delivery through Sunday, April 5. Currently, EatStreet serves more than 475 local and national restaurants across Topeka, Manhattan, Lawrence and Salina.
“As COVID-19 hits our communities, we’ve seen the significant impact the restrictions have on local restaurants, which provide thousands of jobs and are the soul of our cities,” said Matt Howard, EatStreet CEO and co-founder. “We want to do what we can to ease that burden, and we hope eliminating delivery fees during this time will give our restaurant partners in Kansas a much-needed boost.”
To see which restaurants offer delivery, visit EatStreet.com or download the EatStreet app on the App Store or Google Play. There is no minimum for free delivery.
No-contact delivery available
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, EatStreet has implemented several safety measures, including no-contact delivery.
Here’s how it works:
When you place your order, check the box to indicate “leave my order at the door, please”, or type “please leave my food at the door” in the Order Instructions box at Checkout.
Your driver will work to confirm where you want your order delivered when they arrive.
By indicating this in your Order Instructions, you will have no physical contact with your driver.
“We take the safety of our customers and drivers seriously, and want to assure everyone that we’re taking proactive measures to reduce the spread of germs,” Howard said. “These are unprecedented times, but some of these simple steps can have a significant impact.”
