Metal Art Completes Light Pole Decor in NOTO

Metal Art Completes Light Pole Decor in NOTO

As part of a broader coordinated plan for art in the NOTO Arts and Entertainment District, artists Michael Bradley and Larry Peters have created and installed eight metal artworks at light poles and other locations in NOTO. The six light pole pieces are placed in lieu of banners, and two pieces are located on poles in the Teeter Courtyard.

Michael Bradley and Larry Peters are reputable artists in the community and have been part of NOTO since the beginning. Both are prolific in their works, are known for helping other artists, and have contributed to the development of the NOTO district. They have studio space at Studio 831 in NOTO.

"This was the final component of a plan we developed to place art throughout the district. The light poles feature the banners with the artsy NOTO logo, banners featuring works by area artists, and now these unique metal art pieces" said Thomas Underwood, executive director of the NOTO Arts and Entertainment District. "Visitors cannot help but to experience an immersion in art when they come to NOTO."
