EnvistaCares Challenge Announces Lawrence Habitat for Humanity Donation Results

EnvistaCares Challenge Announces Lawrence Habitat for Humanity Donation Results

Lawrence Habitat for Humanity and Envista Credit Union are pleased to announce that thanks to community support totaling $2,800, Lawrence Habitat for Humanity will receive the challenge match of $2,500 from Envista. In total, $5,300 in contributions during the month of September.

“Our goal at Envista is to lead, inspire and make an impact with our giving,” said Tara Dimick, Chief Business Development Officer of Envista. “Lawrence Habitat for Humanity is an incredible example of an organization that leads, inspires and makes an everlasting impact on our community. We are honored to support them, and encourage our community to give.”

Lawrence Habitat for Humanity seeks to put God’s love into action – Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. They want their work to put the love and teachings of Jesus into action. They believe that through faith, they can accomplish anything. To show God’s love, they want to create opportunities for all people to live in a decent and sturdy shelter. Habitat doesn’t just build housing for those in the United States, they support the global community’s belief that housing is a basic human right. They succeed when their work transforms lives and promotes positive and perpetual social, economic and spiritual change.

“Every donation helps a family build a decent, affordable home. We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to partner with Envista and be the recipient of their EnvistaCares Challenge,” said Erika Zimmerman, executive director of Lawrence Habitat for Humanity. “The opportunity to not only raise life-changing dollars, but to also spread word about our mission is such a blessing to our organization. We appreciate the work of Envista in our community and for their focus on affordable housing.”

The EnvistaCares Challenge was created in April of 2019 and has helped raise more than $300,000 for local organizations. The Challenge includes an in-kind gift to the organization of a media buy that is valued at more than $10,000 and a $2,500 challenge grant. The media buy includes radio, emails, online ads, social media and interviews. The challenge grant provides a dollar-for-dollar match up to $2,500 for gifts given during the month that the organization is spotlighted. In 2021, Envista added an evergreen video to the gifts so that each organization could have a quality video that could tell their story.

“We found that marketing dollars for nonprofits are in short supply and we wanted to be sure that the impact of the EnvistaCares Challenge could last beyond one month,” said Dimick. “We wanted to help provide a tool that local organizations could use for many months or even years to come.”
